Description	:	MOWEN, Foster 83, of Springfield went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a brief illness on Wednesday morning February 16, 2005 in the Community Hospital. He was born on January 23, 1922 in Xenia the son of Clark and Marley (Breakall) Mowen. Foster served our country during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Emery Chapel United Methodist Church, retired from Springfield Manufacturing in 1987, and was a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union #148. Read More	MOWEN, Foster 83, of Springfield went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a brief illness on Wednesday morning February 16, 2005 in the Community Hospital. He was born on January 23, 1922 in Xenia the son of Clark and Marley (Breakall) Mowen. Foster served our country during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Emery Chapel United Methodist Church, retired from Springfield Manufacturing in 1987, and was a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union #148. Mr. Mowen is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Georgeanna "Ann" Mowen of Springfield, two sons, Terry and David Mowen of Springfield, three daughters: Georgia and husband Destry Fishel of Springfield; Tara Huff and partner Linda Downing of Dayton; Tania Sherrick and partner Bruce Moore of Dayton, daughter-in-law, Lois Mowen of Springfield, eight grandchildren: Renee Day, Cheryl Eichelberger and partner Dave Swabey, Robert and his wife Teresa Mowen, Tina Mowen of Florida, Heather Denson, Aynsley Fishel, Zachary Fishel, and Hannah Sherrick, ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Bessie, son James, six brothers, and six sisters. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday February 20, 2005 from 2-5 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where the service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. with Pastor William E. Kelley of the Emery Chapel United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Vernon-Asbury Cemetery. Foster was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed by his family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association or the American Heart Association. The family would like to express their appreciation to Richard Potts M.D. and Faiq Ahkter M.D., the Community Hospital Nursing staff and associates for care given to Foster and his family.
