The Rosary will be at 8:30 in the Jesuit House on the Gonzaga University campus. Father Forster, who died Sunday in Seattle, had been in the order almost 50 years, joining in 1919 in Los Gatos, Calif. He was ordained in Holland in 1933. Earlier he studied here at Mount St. Michael's and taught at Gonzaga. He went to Japan immediately at the close of World War II and there founded a Jesuit high school and became rector of a Jesuit theological seminary. He also served as secretary to the first Jesuit provincial of Japan. In his later years he taught at Catholic University in Tokyo where he translated a number of Japanese classical novels into English. Father Forster at one time was rector of the Jesuit Seminary in Sheridan, Ore. Requiem Mass will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, the Rev. Francis W. McGuigan, S.J., officiating. Burial will be at Mount St. Michael's Scholasticate with Hennessey's in charge.
