Description	:	OTTUMWA - Fran McInerney, 89, formerly of 220 N. Schuyler, died at 5 am April 4, 2012 at Vista Woods Care Center. She was born March 24, 1923 in Ottumwa to Ralph and Daisy Terrell Smith. She married Francis J. McInerney on December 15, 1945. He preceded her in death March 26, 2002. A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she worked for Douglas Airccraft in Chicago during World War II. She owned and operated Fran's Beauty Shop, and managed Mary's Retirement Home for 15 years. She was born March 24, 1923 in Ottumwa to Ralph and Daisy Terrell Smith. She married Francis J. McInerney on December 15, 1945. He preceded her in death March 26, 2002. A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she worked for Douglas Airccraft in Chicago during World War II. She owned and operated Fran's Beauty Shop, and managed Mary's Retirement Home for 15 years. She was a member of First Pentecostal Assembly of God, and had a charismatic ministry for many years. Surviving are three daughters, Judi(Bud)Hanna of Derby, Kathy(Will)Riedel and Jane(Frank)Luckenbaugh both of Ottumwa; two sons, Jim(Sandy)McInerney of Waco, NE and Tom McInerney of Ottumwa; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence(Barbara)Smith of Chicago, IL; a sister, Helen Suarez of Huntley, IL. She was preceded iin death by her parents; a son, Joe McInerney; a great-granddaughter; four brothers, Allen, Robert, Richard and Kenneth Smith. Funeral services will be 10 am Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Schlotter officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 am Monday with family present from 5-7 pm Monday. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
