She was born December 10, 1949 in Ottumwa to Francis James and Emma Frances Smith McInerney. Kathy married William Anthony Riedel on October 11, 1968. A 1968 graduate of Walsh High School, at age 50, Kathy attended Indian Hills Community College with great success where she earned all A's. She had worked as a cook at Mary's Home and Pennsylvania Place. She had worked for H&R Block and owned and operated her own cleaning service. Kathy was a member of First Pentecostal Assembly of God. Her faith, family and grandchildren were very important to her. Surviving is her husband, Will; three daughters, Anna Catherine (Thomas) Vallambroso of Mt. Pleasant, Rosemary Riedel of Montrose, MI and Christina Riedel of Clarksville, TN; two granddaughters, Cordelia Vallambroso and Vienna Riedel; siblings, Jane (Frank) Lunkenbaugh of Ft. Payne, AL, Thomas McInerney of Ottumwa and Jim (Sandy) McInerney of Waco, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe McInerney and a sister, Judy Hannah. Her body has been cremated. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 29th at Reece Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 30th at First Pentecostal Assembly of God with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. For those unable to attend the service may be viewed on the First Pentecostal Facebook page. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Once Lost, Now Found or Lewy Body Dementia Association for Research.
