She passed away on January 22, 2009 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 90 years. Frances attended Roth country school near Deweese. During her lifetime she worked as a housekeeper and for a short time she also worked in a café in Nelson. Frances was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, Henry and Adolph Drudik and foster sister, Betty Lukasek. Survivors include her sister Elsie Ruhga of Nelson, Nebraska; nieces and nephews, Sue Hagmann and husband Mike of Grand Island, Nebraska, Pat Veburg and husband Wally of Hordville, Nebraska, Richard Ruhga of Ord, Nebraska and Tony Lukasek of Hastings, Nebraska; other relatives and a host of friends. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nelson, Nebraska with Father Brad Zitek officiating. Music was "How Great Thou Art," and "Amazing Grace," with Stephanie Thayer as soloist and Jim Spirk as organist. Pallbearers were Matthew Veburg, Wally Veburg, Mike Hagmann, Arlan Drudik, Tony Lukasek, and Richard Ruhga. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska.
