The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, December 16, 1971 ============================== Frank James Drudik Sr., son of Lawrence and Anna (Frantz) Drudik Sr. was born North of Lawrence on a farm on December 27, 1890 and departed this life at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home on December 14, 1971 at the age of 81. On January 11, 1916 he was united in marriage to Mary Frances Petr. To this union 4 children were born. Frances at home, Elsie (Mrs. Marvin Rugha) at Nelson and a Foster daughter, Elizabeth (Mrs. Frank Lukasek) of Deweese and two boys preceded him in death while in infancy. His wife passed away on February 15, 1965 at the Good Samaritan Nursing home. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his children and three grandchildren and two brothers and one sister. Joe of Fairfield and Albert of Lawrence and Rose (Mrs. Julius Mazour) of Lawrence and a host of relatives and friends. Frank was a well known man and was a lover of children. Mr. Drudik Sr. lived all of his life in Nuckolls County, was farming near Deweese until they moved to Nelson in 1960. Funeral services were held Friday, December 17, 1971 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church, Nelson, Nebraska which he was a member. Father Ed Jaworowski was clergyman, music by the Sacred Heart choir. Casket bearers were George Petr, Edmond Drudik, Edward Drudik, Bernard Drudik, John Hajny Jr. and Tony Lukasek. Interment at Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska and Klawitter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, December 23, 1971
