She was born Dec. 28, 1906, on a farm in Almota, in Whitman County, to Samuel and Ida SOMMERS AESCHLIMAN. She attended school through the ninth grade in Onecho, Washington, and later obtained her business degree from Kinman Business College in Spokane. Frances retired from Water Power of Spokane after working there for 28 years. She later came back to the family farm in Almota and then moved to Colfax to live with her siblings.... She was born Dec. 28, 1906, on a farm in Almota, in Whitman County, to Samuel and Ida SOMMERS AESCHLIMAN. She attended school through the ninth grade in Onecho, Washington, and later obtained her business degree from Kinman Business College in Spokane. Frances retired from Water Power of Spokane after working there for 28 years. She later came back to the family farm in Almota and then moved to Colfax to live with her siblings. In 1993, Frances moved in with her brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Wanda, and in 1998 moved to the rehabilitation center. She was a member of the Onecho Bible Church and enjoyed knitting, traveling, taking pictures and scrapbooking. Frances is survived by her brother and his wife, Ralph and Anita Aeschliman; her sister-in-law, Wanda Aeschliman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Arnold, Walter, Irvin and Stella AESCHLIMAN, Golda WALTNER, Hilda GERING, Blanche SCHRAG, Flossie McMILLEN and Myrtle JOHNSON; as well as her parents. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at the Bruning Funeral Home Chapel in Colfax. A graveside interment will follow at the Onecho Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Onecho Church or to a charity helping the Navaho Indians. Bruning Funeral Home, Colfax, is caring for the family.
