Frances was born on December 17, 1917, near Clutier, the daughter of John and Mary (Husak) Roubinek. She attended the No. 7 Carroll Township School in Tama County. On September 21, 1937, she married Joseph J. Dvorak. They farmed for twelve years south of Clutier. After they divorced, in 1953, she moved to Dubuque, Iowa, where she worked at the Federal Post Office for ten years. In 1966, she moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she worked for ten years in the Social Services office of the state of Kansas. In 1983, Frances retired and was honored for her exemplary work. She moved to the state of Rhode Island, and spent her retirement years in the Providence and South County areas. She has been a resident in the South Kingston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Kingston, for the last few years. Frances was a communicant at St. Raymond's Catholic Church in Providence, RI, for thirteen years, and most recently attended Christ the King Church in Kingston, RI. She was a long time member of the Rosary Society of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clutier, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Adolph Roubinek; and two sisters, Mildred Seda and Mayme Riha. Survivors include her two children, a daughter, Rose Ann Feil of South Bend, Indiana, and a son, Wilfred (Evelyn) Dvorak, of Kingston, Rhode Island; three grandchildren, Ann Feil, Janine Feil Jenkins, and Alison Dvorak; and two great grandchildren, Charles and Rachel Jenkins.
