Father Paul Appel of Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish officiated. The honorary bearer was Jimmy Marks. Casketbearers were Matthew Hicks, Pete Peterson, Steve Duggan, Ed Bohling, Kevin Yerington, Lyle Marks, Steve Marks and Gene Marks. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Duggan was born May 2, 1943, in Muscatine, the daughter of Leslie and Dorothy Everett Marks. She married Richard C. "Dick" Duggan in July 1991 in Muscatine. She worked for ResCare for 19 years as a life skills instructor and was totally committed to her job. She enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, shopping and spending time with her family. She also collected angels and Isabel Blooms. Survivors include her husband; a son, Matthew Hicks and wife, Kristina, of Muscatine; two daughters, Vickie Peterson and husband, Pete, of Burlington and Misty Hicks of Muscatine; three stepsons, Steven Duggan and wife, Kris, of Muscatine, Tom Duggan and wife, Hollie, of Tucson, Ariz., and Patrick Duggan and special friend, Stacie, of Muscatine; two stepdaughters, Lynn Bohling and husband, Ed, of Muscatine and Barb Yerington and husband, Kevin, of Muscatine; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Steve Marks and special friend, Pam, of Muscatine, Gene Marks and wife, Marsha, of Farmington, Mo., and Lyle Marks and wife, Susie, of Springfield, Mo.; and three sisters, Theresa Marks-Turkington and husband, Breck, of Norman, Okla., Patricia Johnston and fiancé, Dean Bohling, of Danville and Jo Ann Askam and husband, Leo, of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, David, James and Donald Marks; and a great-grandson, James Michael "J.J." Nupp.
