Attesting to her sterling worth and to the high respect in which Mrs. Little was held, the funeral service at Union Church at 3 o'clock, Monday was largely attended, a great number of her friends and neighbors being unable to gain entrance to the Edifice. The service was conducted by Rev. G. W. Hall, pastor of the Murray M.E. Church, assisted by Rev. G. E. Nichole. Interment was made in the nearby cemetery. ******************************* OBITUARY Francis M. Bennett, daughter of Lemon & Eleanor J. Bennett, was born in Fall Branch, Tenn., June 17, 1852 and departed this life on Saturday afternoon, April 28, 1923 at her home in Murray, Iowa., Aged 70 years; 10 months; 11 days. She was the eldest in a family of seven children, three of whom survive her. They are Mrs Mary I. Brown of Murray, Iowa; Mrs Ella M. Guyton of Los Angeles, California; and Mr. James S. Bennett of Great Falls, Montana. When Frances was nine years of age in 1861, she came with the family to Iowa and settled in Des Moines. After six years the family moved to Clarke County and settled near Union. There she met and learned to love Mr. ALVIN Little. Three years later on December 25, 1870, they were united in Marriage and started Housekeeping and Home-making in that community and have lived there ever since until three years ago when they came to Murray to spend their declining days. There were seven children born to Mr. & Mrs. Little. Two of them, Mrs. Lillie E. Rinner and Arthur Little have preceded their Mother in death. The five surviving daughters are Mrs. Ella K. Vanosdol, Murray, Iowa; Mrs. Jennie Isenberger of Murray, Iowa; Mrs. Frances Fazel of Osceola, Iowa; Mrs. Ida McDaniel of Morning Sun and Mrs. Rena Dudney of Des Moines. Mrs. Little still held her membership in the Church at the time of her death. The end was anticipated by Sister Little and she felt that she was ready to go. The Writer called upon her several times and she was glad to talk about spiritual things. The end came peacefully. For years she has been in Frail Health and suffered much, but was so bright and cheerful in and thru it all, so the Heavenly Father finally said " It is enough, Come up with me " She had lived a very quiet life, but had made many friends who mourn her passing. The bereaved Husband and Daughters have the sympathy of their vast circle of friends and acquaintances. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were - Mrs O.M. Vanosdol of Nash, Okla; Mr. & Mrs. E.C. Fazel and daughters of Osceola, Iowa; Mr. & Mrs. J.J. McDaniel and daughter of Morning Sun, Iowa; Mr & Mrs. G.O. Dudney of West Burlington, Iowa; Mr and Mrs Joe Herrold of Winterset, Iowa; Mrs Mattie Finamore of Peru, Iowa; Joe Spurgeon of Truro, Iowa; Mrs A. Butler and daughter and Mrs Denly of Afton, Iowa
