Description	:	Frances Mae Bly, 101, of Billings, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013. She was born in Langdon, N.D., on May 4, 1912, to William and Etta Smith. Before their deaths they lived in Acton, Mont., and Frances attended school in Broadview. Frances had a great sense of humor and could not believe she was this old and still here! Read More	Frances Mae Bly, 101, of Billings, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013. She was born in Langdon, N.D., on May 4, 1912, to William and Etta Smith. Before their deaths they lived in Acton, Mont., and Frances attended school in Broadview. Frances had a great sense of humor and could not believe she was this old and still here! Frances was baptized at the age of 98 on Aug. 13, 2010, at Wicks Lane Baptist Church. Frances had a very nice, content life with her husband William "Bill" Bly. They lived over 50 years on Riverside Road in Billings. Bill worked at Great Western Sugar factory. Frances loved gardening and supplied restaurants and families with wonderful vegetables. She was an excellent upholsterer and wallpaper hanger. She, along with her parents, hung wallpaper in the Northern Hotel. Frances' last years were spent at RiverRidge Assisted Living in Eagle Cliff Manor, still in her own apartment, with the assistance of the great workers there. Thanks, especially, to Natalie, Rocky Mountain Hospice, and the caregivers at Eagle Cliff for their care just before her life ended. Frances' 100th birthday party was held at RiverRidge. With the help of her grandson Shawn who held her, she danced her last short dance as the Old Time Fiddlers played. There was not a dry eye in the house! She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Bill; and son Bruce. Frances is survived by her daughter Donna Germeraad of NHC Healthcare in Columbia, Tenn.; daughter-in-law Jean Bly of Roundup; five grandchildren, Douglas (Karen) Germeraad of Columbia, Tenn., Janet Jean Germeraad of Seattle, Wash., Kathy (Chris) Long and Carrie (Shawn) Downing, both of Carlsbad, N.M., Dalton (Paulette) Bly of Greenacres, Wash.; two step-granddaughters, Julie (Curt) Keeler of Lockwood, and Ivy (Rick) Fortenberry of Spokane Valley, Wash.; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Frances was "Grandma" to the whole family. When Grandma was mentioned everyone knew who was being talked about. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all of her family, as well as those who knew her. A funeral celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens where she will be laid beside the love of her life, Bill. Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
