Description	:	SALINEVILLE - Frances Ruhl "Toots" Chettle Curry, 91, of Salineville, went to be with her Lord and her loved ones who have gone on before on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Nentwick Convalescent Home, where she had been lovingly cared for after suffering from a massive stroke. She was born Jan. 8, 1919, to the late John and Verna (Ruhl) Chettle at Chettle Lake Farm in Wellsville. Read More	SALINEVILLE - Frances Ruhl "Toots" Chettle Curry, 91, of Salineville, went to be with her Lord and her loved ones who have gone on before on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Nentwick Convalescent Home, where she had been lovingly cared for after suffering from a massive stroke. She was born Jan. 8, 1919, to the late John and Verna (Ruhl) Chettle at Chettle Lake Farm in Wellsville. Toots attended the one-room Yellow Creek Schoolhouse and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1938. She will always be remembered as the owner of Curry's Service Station and Store. She was also a lifeguard and ice skater at Chettle Lake Farm and was a member of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church. Frances was honored by the Highlandtown Volunteer Fire Department for answering the fire calls for many years. Frances was preceded in death on Dec. 3, 1984, by her husband, Benjamin Harry Curry, whom she married June 17, 1944. Survivors include one sister, Mary Swearingen of Wellsville; one brother, Clarence "Red" Chettle of Trinity, Fla.; and one sister-in-law, Arlene Chettle of Wellsville. Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews, and several great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Toots was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Boyd, and one brother, John L. Chettle Jr. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Derek Marotta of the church officiating. Following the service, the family with be receiving friends and relatives at Inverness Hall in Highlandtown. Burial will be in Highlandtown Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main St. in Wellsville.
