Golden was born Sept. 16, 1894, in Nebraska City, the son of Frank M. and Anna (Swanson) Golden Sr. He married Margaret Cadle on Aug. 1, 1927, at Sidney, Iowa. He was born and raised in Nebraska City and had lived in the same residence for 75 years. He was a retired plant fireman at Morton House and had served in the Navy as a Fireman 1st Class from May 8, 1918, to Sept. 30, 1921, during World War I. He was a member of the Last Man's Club, World War I Barracks and the American Legion, Post 8, of which he was commander in 1942. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Nebraska City; daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Lou) Felthauser and Mrs. Vernon (Sara) Felthauser, both of Omaha; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Karen Golden of Waterloo, Iowa; a brother, William L. Golden of Cornelius, Ore.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Wallace, George, and Reuben; and a sister, Sarah Teten. Visitation will begin Wednesday evening. The family will greet family and friends Thursday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Peterson Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to the Heart Fund. Peterson Mortuary of Nebraska City is in charge of arrangements. …
