Description	:	OBIT: Francis Marion (Frank) Huss, son of one of the pioneer families of the Kittitas Valley, died here Thursday evening in the Valley General Hospital, at the age of 66 years. Death occurred about 7:30 o'clock. He entered the hospital three weeks ago. Huss was born at Ellensburg and lived in this community all his life. Read More	OBIT: Francis Marion (Frank) Huss, son of one of the pioneer families of the Kittitas Valley, died here Thursday evening in the Valley General Hospital, at the age of 66 years. Death occurred about 7:30 o'clock. He entered the hospital three weeks ago. Huss was born at Ellensburg and lived in this community all his life. He farmed in the Nanum District until four years ago when he moved into Ellensburg. His widow, Susan M. Huss, survived him at their home of 1005 E. Eighth Avenue here. He was a member of the Kittitas Valley Pioneer Association, a past master of the Nanum Grange and a seventh degree member of the National Grange. He was a son of Harvey and Dorcas Jane Huss, who made the long trek across the plains to the Pacific Northwest by ox team in 1865, two years after their marriage. They first settled in Idaho, then in 1869 moved to Oregon. They came to the Kittitas Valley to make their home in the spring of 1885. Huss is survived also by a son, Laverne Huss of Salt Lake City, Utah; four brothers, Oscar Huss of Winthrop, James Huss of Centralia, Bird G. Huss of Ellensburg and Ray A. Huss of Parker; a sister, Mrs. Nainy Roach of Chehalis and one grandson, Gary Huss of Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 3 at 2 p.m. in the Honeycutt-Evenson Chapel with the Rev. Hardwick W. Harshman officiating, and burial following in the IOOF Cemetery.
