Description	:	FRANCIS N. BLACK of East Bonne Terre died suddenly of a heart attack Monday morning in the reception room of the Bonne Terre Farming & Cattle Co. office while waiting to keep an appointment. A physician was called, but Mr. Black was dead when the doctor arrived. FRANCIS NIXON BLACK, son of the late THOMAS and MARTHA KETCHERSIDE BLACK, was born in Reynolds County, Mo October 24, 1875 and died Monday, August 25, 1941, age 65 years, 10 months and one day. FRANCIS NIXON BLACK, son of the late THOMAS and MARTHA KETCHERSIDE BLACK, was born in Reynolds County, Mo October 24, 1875 and died Monday, August 25, 1941, age 65 years, 10 months and one day. He was united in marriage to MAGGIE ELLEN TAYLOR on September 15, 1897. To this union 10 children were born. Mr. BLACK was a beloved neighbor and devoted Christian. He united with the Baptist Church in 1910 and served as an ordained deacon of the East Bonne Terre Baptist Church for 31 years. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J.D. Wilson of Cantwell from the East Bonne Terre Baptist Church. Interment was made in the Adams Cemetery with the Benham Undertaking Company in charge.
