The funeral services will be held at St. Michael’s Church at 10:30 o’clock a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 1913, conducted by Rev. Anthony Schaf. Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Knecht, a pioneer resident of Highland Township, died Sunday morning, June 1, at his home in St. Leon, at the age of 89 years, 8 months, 1 day. His body was brought to Brookville this (Wednesday) morning and after funeral services at St. Michael’s Church was laid to rest in St. Michael’s Cemetery. When he was only thirteen years old his parents came to this county from Germany, settling in Highland Township, where, highly respected, he lived almost his entire life, the last few years having made his home at St. Leon.
