Fraser died at his home on South Broadway Saturday night at 8 o’clock after a short illness with bladder trouble. He was operated on at St. Joseph’s Hospital several weeks ago, with hopes of relieving his malady, but with no success. The funeral services will be held at the Cathedral on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock when solemn high mass will be said. F. X. Fraser was born in Province of Quebec, Canada, and died at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 22 days. When he was five years old his parents moved to Illinois where he was married in 1868 to Miss Flora Barnard. In 1885 he and his family moved to Kansas and settled on a farm seven miles south west of Concordia, on Wolf Creek, where they resided until last May when they moved to town. Mr. Fraser leaves a widow, twelve children and nineteen grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, to mourn his death. His sister and brothers and ten of his children will be here for the funeral. Mr. Fraser was an upright honest man, greatly respected by all who knew him, and his family is one of the most prominent of the French families in this community. His death has brought sorrow to many homes here where he was loved as a fine old gentleman. Their many friends extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
