Description	:	This grave was included in the WPA survey of New Hampton Cemetery but it was transcribed as "Jn A." However, the birth and death dates match exactly to Frank A. Stimson, and this person is buried with Frank Stimson's father and grandparents. I therefore am guessing the marker is hard to read and this is actually Frank Stimson. I searched records and did not find anyone named John Stimson living in this area at this time. Frank's mother and 2 brothers are buried in another lot in the same cemetery. Frank's mother and 2 brothers are buried in another lot in the same cemetery. There does not seem to have been an obituary for Frank A., but the May 15, 1890 Nashua newspaper mentions visitors in town "for the funeral of a son of Frank Stimson," and in 1891 there was a probate notice for F.A. Stimson addressing his wife, Mary Stimson, and daughter, Myrtle Stimson. His brother Judson was the administrator. Frank's father was a farmer, having come to Iowa from New York in 1855. Frank and his 3 siblings were all born on the same farm in Stapleton Township in Chickasaw County. Frank married Mary Ostrander in Fredericksburg, Chickasaw on October 10, 1886. They had a daughter named Myrtle born 1888. Myrtle married Maurice More. They are buried in Glacier Memorial Gardens, Kalispell, Flathead, Montana. Mary remarried to Frederick Melius after Frank's death.
