Read More	Earlville Review on Thursday February 1st, 1934 Title: Frank Robinson Death Came Last Friday Evening Frank Robinson, age 50, well known Earlville farmer died at his home two and a half miles south of Earlville at eleven o'clock Friday evening after over a month's illness. His condition became critical a week ago Sunday. Mr. Robinson died on the farm where he was born and has lived all his life. Frank Benjamin Robinson, son of Charles and Mary E. Robinson was born on the home farm near Earlville on November 5, 1883 and died at his home Friday, January 26, 1934. He attended the Rural Schools and became a member of the Earlville Methodist church on April 5, 1896 under the pastorate of the Rev. S. C. Platts. He was married to Miss Clara Rafoth Sept. 8, 1920. Two children were born to this union, Clark and Louis. His mother died June 13, 1912. He leaves to mourn his early passing his aged father who is 88 years old, one brother, John of Earlville, and six sisters, Mrs. Blanche Gibbs and Mrs. Cora Shearer of Delhi; Mrs. Jennie Shearer and Mrs. Zora Fee of Center Point; Mrs. Kathleen Irons of Olin and Miss Sarah Robinson of Cedar Rapids besides three nieces and nine nephews. Mr. Robinson was a loving father and husband and was a good neighbor and will be greatly missed by his many friends. Funeral services were held at the Earlville M. E. church at two o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. L. C. Smith, pastor of the local M. E. church officiating, assisted by the Rev. Floyd Maynard, pastor of the M. E. church at Center Point, Iowa. A male quartet composed of Ed Irmscher, Earl Klaus, H. A. Bergman and Ben Holscher with Miss Ruth Klaus accompanist sang "Rock of Ages" and "God Will Take Care of You." Ben Holscher sang a solo entitled "Walking in the King's Highway." Brief services were held at home at one thirty o'clock with Rev. Smith and Rev. Maynard in charge. Ben Holscher and Ed Irmscher sang a duet at the home "Rest for the Weary." The Pall Bearers were Will Burke, George Rice, William E. Gibbs, Henry Arnold, John Clute and Clarence Powell. Burial was made in Fairview cemetery. Among the relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Henry Irons of Olin, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Shearer, Mrs. Zora Fee and son Charles, Ed Lindquist, Rev. Floyd Maynard, all of Center Point; Miss Sarah Robinson of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Shearer and family, B. Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Keith, Misses May and Grace Simons, Frank Rafoth, Mr. and Mrs. George Rafoth, Dan and Will Schnittjer, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Nieman, daughter Josie and son Walter, all of Delhi, Mrs. Will Carrothers, Miss Celia Morris, Rev. and Mrs. W. A. Adix, Mrs. Reba Bushnell, all of Manchester, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hulls, Martin Moser, Charles Rafoth of Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen and Henry and Rudolph Rafoth. Contributor: Jeanette Johnson
