Description	:	Crabbottom, Virginia Frank Cameron Wimer, aged 59, who died suddenly at his home in Crabbottom Tuesday Morning, October 7, 1941 was one of the outstanding business and churchman of the community. For many years he engaged in the mercantile business first under the name of E. Wimer & Sons, later Wimer Brothers, and then F. C. Wimer, and in this business he was eminently successful. Read More	Crabbottom, Virginia Frank Cameron Wimer, aged 59, who died suddenly at his home in Crabbottom Tuesday Morning, October 7, 1941 was one of the outstanding business and churchman of the community. For many years he engaged in the mercantile business first under the name of E. Wimer & Sons, later Wimer Brothers, and then F. C. Wimer, and in this business he was eminently successful. He was also successful in other lines of business, a large land owner and director in the Crabbottom Valley Bank. He was an active member of the Central Methodist Church, a treasurer of the stewards, a teacher in the church school, and otherwise identified with the activities of the church. He was a son of the late Ephraim Wimer and Ellen Harold Wimer, who were among the leading pioneer settlers in the valley. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Bonnie Kate Wimer and the following sons and daughters: Miller and Eugene of Washington D.C., Alfred at home; Mrs. R. E. Mauzy (Kathryn); Mrs. Leonard Hammer (Virginia), Hightown; Mrs. Julian Pulley (Janet) Arlington;and Misses Dorothy and Ruth Wimer, students at Madison College, Harrisonburg. Also surviving are the following brothers, Emery and Lee of Crabbottom and William Kemper and wife of DeRuyter, N.Y. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Central Church at 2 p.m., conducted by pastor Reverend H.E. Skeleton assisted by Reverend A.E. Johnson. Interment was in the Crabbottom Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Active, H. L. Simmons, Dr. B.T. Swecker, H. B. Marshall, W. B. Folks, P. L. Mauzy and I. W. Nicholas. Honarary pallbearers were John Jack,George E. Swecker, Adam Harper, Luther Hammer, J. W. Newman, J. B. Hiner, M. K. Simmons, J. D. Waybright, W. L. Arbogast and P. M. Propst.
