Description	:	Frank Cramlet, son of Robert Connor and Sarah Jane Cramlet, was born near Douds, Iowa, on Jan. 8, 1877, and passed away at his home on Feb. 15th, 1941, at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 7 days. On March 2, 1898, he was united in marriage to Katie Williams of Libertyville, Iowa. To this union were born two sons, Ross C. of Des Moines, and Leland, at home. Read More	Frank Cramlet, son of Robert Connor and Sarah Jane Cramlet, was born near Douds, Iowa, on Jan. 8, 1877, and passed away at his home on Feb. 15th, 1941, at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 7 days. On March 2, 1898, he was united in marriage to Katie Williams of Libertyville, Iowa. To this union were born two sons, Ross C. of Des Moines, and Leland, at home. In his passing he leaves his immediate family and one brother, Charles S. of Glendale, Calif., also Mrs. Frances Williams and daughter, Illyff, who have made their home with the family for the past ten years. Frank, as he was known by his friends and neighbors, spent his entire life in Douds vicinity where he engaged in farming and the feeding and raising of livestock. He has always been interested in good horses and in the feeding of sheep. He was always willing and ready to help those in need. It was his desire that through his living the community in which he lived would be a better place for others to live. He was always interested in any community activity which would be for the help and good of others. At all times he was willing to share what he had. No man ever went away from his home at meal time or at night without being asked to eat or sleep. His one ambition in life was to provide a good home and to be a good farmer. During the past 35 years he has provided work and homes for 26 hands and tenants, some of whom worked for him as long as ten years. His philosophy of life was simple. He believed that the purpose of man was that of service to his fellow man and that his most important obligation was to help others in time of economic need, sickness and death. His last words were that he wanted to spend his last days among his neighbors. To them he made his fullest contributions. His life, as he desired to live it, was one of true generosity and devotion to others. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah church in charge of Rev. M.D. Wyatt of Agency, Iowa, assisted by Rev. E.K. Parrott of Douds. Interment in the Mt. Moriah cemetery.
