Adams County Free Press - Thursday, May 23, 1963 Mrs. Fern Cox and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Campbell spent the weekend near Pomona, Kansas, where they were present at the 100th birthday celebration for Frank Crammer, former Prescott resident, and a great uncle of Mrs. Cox. On Sunday, a potluck dinner was held at the home of Frank and Guy Crammer, only child of Frank, and the relatives and friends shared a bountiful dinner. Features of the dinner were three cakes, baked by one of his granddaughters. Mr. Crammer received many cards from all over the country, among which was a greeting card from President Kennedy wishing him good health and best wishes. Relatives were present from California, Oklahoma, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas. The body will remain at Towner Chapel this evening. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roland Funeral Home, Corning, Iowa. Rev. Brown Garlock will officiate. Burial will be in Stringtown Cemetery, Corning. Born May 17,1863, at West Liberty, Iowa, he came to Franklin County in 1921 and farmed 41 years. He was a longtime member of Pomona IOOF Lodge. He married Mary Perry who is deceased. Surviving are one son, Guy P. Crammer, of the home; four grandchildren, including Mrs. John Shaw, Osawatomie; six great - grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning, with burial in the Stringtown Cemetery. Adams County Free Press - Thursday, September 17, 1964 Frank Crammer, son of John and Edith Crammer, was born May 17, 1863 at West Liberty, Iowa, and passed away at his farm home near Pomona, Kansas, at the age of 101 years, three months, and 19 days. He moved to the Prescott community in 1877. He was united in marriage to Mary Rose Perry in 1887. In 1921, Mr. Crammer moved to Franklin County, Kansas, and farmed 41 years in that area. He is survived by one son, Guy Crammer, of Pomona, Kansas; four grandchildren, Kournies Crammer of Los Angeles; California, Mrs. John Shaw of Osawatomie, Kansas; Mrs. J.O. Singleton of Durant, Oklahoma; and Amos B. Crammer of New Orleans, Louisiana; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and sisters, and his wife. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 9, 1964 at 2 p.m. from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning with Rev. S.E. Sterrett of Prescott officiating. Music was by Mrs. Dannie Schafer. Pallbearers were Harvey Pottinger, Earl Pottinger, Dow Keever, Harold Campbell, Ronald Campbell, and George Wilson. Interment was in the Stringtown Cemetery.
