Mr. Luedtke died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 7, at his home in Comstock where he had lived the past seven years. Interment was in the Comstock Douglas Grove cemetery with military rites. Frank was born December 29, 1915, near Arcadia to Charles B. and Estella E. Moon Luedtke. He lived most of his life on a farm between Comstock and Arcadia. He never married. A World War II veteran, he entered the service November 6, 1941, at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, and received his honorable discharge October 5, 1945, at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. He served with the U.S. Army Engineers in the European Theatre and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Comstock Rogers West American Legion Post #220. Survivors are two brothers, Millard of Comstock and Merwyn of North Platte; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Metz of Halsey, Mrs. Grace Nelson of Comstock, and Mrs. Sara Hensley of Marietta, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
