MILLER CALLED BY DEATH MONDAY, JUNE 27 Final Rites for Well Known Union County Farmer Held Wednesday Frank H. Miller, a well known farmer of Sioux Valley township, Union county, S. D., passed away Monday, June 27, 1938, at his home northwest of Akron, Iowa, following an extended illness aged 81 years, 0 months and 10 days. Mr. Miller was born December 17, at Dixon, Ill., where he grew to young manhood. He was married to Madaline Huckert at Dixon, Ill., April 3, 1875. They came west to Union county, S. D. , forty-six years ago, and this had since remained his home. Mrs. Miller preceded him in death sixteen years ago. He is survived by two sons and two daughters, Geo Miller, Chas. Miller, Mrs. Walter Heyl and Miss Elizabeth Miller, all resideng in the vicinity of Alcester, S. D.; two brothers, Ernest and August Miller, of Dixon, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Isabelle Levan, Dixon; also six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends. Mr. Miller was a man of upright character and industrious habits, a kind husband and father and a helpful friend and neighbor, who a helpful friend and neighbor 'who will be greatly missed in the community where he has resided for so many years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Akron, Rev. Edward Beyer, of the South Lutheran church, Alcester, S. D., officiating. Interment was in Riverside cemetery, Akron. The pallbearers were August Lundgren, Wm. Halvorsen, Lester Seeley, Albin Carlson, Gerdy Groon and Alfred Swanson. Relatives attending the funeral from a distance were; Mr. and Mrs. Curt Hess and daughter, of Madison, S. D.; Mrs. Isetta Lamoureux of Laramie, Wyo.; Frank Huckert, Ed.
