Camper Dies Suddenly in Yuba. Frank L. Camper, 58 years old, a native of Indiana Ranch (), Yuba county, died suddenly at 5 o’clock last night at Hammonton, where he had been employed as dredger master for several years. Deceased had been a mining man the greater part of his life, having worked in mines at Forbestown and began work at Hammonton with the initiation of the dredging industry at that city. He had visited relatives in Chico for a short time, a week ago and at the time of his death was suffering from an injured hand received while working at the dredgers, which was his only ailment. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Camper of Hammonton, four sons, Ralph of Orland, Clyde and Joseph of Hammonton, and Frank, Jr., a student in the Chico high school; three daughters, Mrs. Williams Simmons of Marysville, Mrs. Roy Rankin of Chico and Mrs. Edith Norton of Kansas City; three brothers, William R. Camper of Alameda, Frederick Camper of De Sabla and Charles H. Camper of Chico; five sisters, Mrs. E.W. tuck, Mrs. Judson Albright, Misses Lulu and Ella Camper, all of Chico, and Mrs. F.W. Durgin of Altaville. No arrangements have been made for the funeral. ~~~ Indiana Ranch is a historic ranch in Yuba County. It is located northeast of Frenchtown, at the intersection of Indiana Ranch Road and Indiana School Road. ~~~ 58-year-old Frank L. Camper was interred, per the Chico Cemetery Association Records, in the plot noted, on November 24, 1919. ~~~ Chico Record, Tuesday Morning, November 25, 1919, pg 1 col 5: Frank L. Camper Is Laid to Last Rest. The funeral services for the late Frank L. Camper were held at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon by Rev. Galen Lee Rose from the home of his sister, Miss Lulu Camper at Fifth and Walnut streets. Interment was made in the Chico cemetery.
