Was 46 Years Old Frank McLeland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will McLeland was born near Cantril, Iowa, April 17, 1883, and passed away at his home southwest of Milton on April 25, 1929, aged 46 years and 8 days. Was 46 Years Old Frank McLeland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will McLeland was born near Cantril, Iowa, April 17, 1883, and passed away at his home southwest of Milton on April 25, 1929, aged 46 years and 8 days. He, with seven brothers and one sister, grew to manhood on a farm southwest of Cantril. At the age of twenty-three he was united in marriage to Alma Prather and to them were born five children: Howard, Harold, Frances Marie, Alma Maxine and Helen Marcele, who with the bereaved wife are left to mourn their loss. Frank was an upright honorable man, a successful farmer and stockman. He was a good neighbor, a loving husband and father. For eleven years he has been afflicted and patiently, courageously fought for life which he knew he must lose. His last illness was for a little more than a week, during which time he suffered severely, and all was done that loving skilled hands could do to relieve him. To his companion he expressed himself as ready to go and prayed that he might be spared his suffering. He will be greatly missed not only by his loved ones but by a large circle of friends. There remain his brothers, H. L. of Milton, Clarence of Iowa City, Harry of Stockport, Ray of Brule, Neb., and Blanche Madden of Fairfield, Iowa. Two brothers, Lou and George preceded him in death. The funeral service was held at the M. E. church in Milton on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., Dr. H. F. Gilbert of Keota, Iowa, conducting the service. Interment was in Sunnyside cemetery.
