On Chip's birthday thoughts go to the one who was celebrating with me 56 years ago. That was quite a day for us. I remember telling you that when I lifted his chin up his little cheeks pooched out and he looked like a little chipmunk. You informed me that we could call him Chip. You hadn't wanted a Jr. that would wind up being Sonny or Buddy. Well from that day on he was Chipper until he got bigger and we shortened it to Chip. I remember that moment so well. Happy Birthday my Love. You would be 80 today. My old head is a bit amazed at that. It's not like I am a whole lot younger. Keep watch on Michael's house on Christmas Day. First year with our little beauty Bradley Anna. Gonna be a blast. I can't help but remember Chip's first Christmas in Lewistown, when he crawled out in the kitchen and played with the jar rings or the Christmas in Townsend when Santa Claus (Frank Holloway) came to call on the boys. Chip was awe struck. First shutting the door on him and then when he was leaving he's saying "Merry Fritzmas Santa Claus, Merry Fritzmas". Michael's eyes were as big as saucers while Santa was talking to him. Such great memories I have. Such a wonderful thing that the memories are always there. At least for now anyway. Oh how I hate April 2nd! I miss you so very much. You left us so young and you have been gone 19 years now. So much going on I wish you were here to see and to share.
