Read More	Obituary Ottumwa Weekly Democrat - June 12, 1903 Ottumwa Morning Democrat - June 13, 1903 Parrish - At the home of his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Parrish, corner of Fourth and Bridge Streets, Wednesday, June 3, at 9:30 a.m. occurred the death of Frank Parrish, of Chicago, aged 46 years, 3 months and 14 days. The deceased was born Feb 20, 1857. He went to Burlington, Kan., in the year 1878, and the following year took for his life partner Miss Matilda Parsons, of that city. By occupation he was a stone cutter, and he had assisted in the construction of large structures in several of the principal cities. He had resided in Burlington, Kansas, in Kansas City, and in Muskegon, Michigan, and in 1893 the family moved to Chicago and he worked on some of the large buildings there. About a year and a half ago he contracted what is known as stone cutter's consumption. Continuing to grow worse, he came here the 20th of last October, and since had gradually sank away till death came to his relief. The surviving relatives are: His aged mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Parrish, one sister, Mrs. M.J. Criswell, one half brother, T.B. Kale, all of this place; the wife, who had been with him for some time past, and three daughters. Mesdames Rose Rogers and Annie Gibson, of Chicago, and Miss Lottie, still of Burlington, Kansas. His father, one brother, and one son, Fred, preceded him in death. Three of the members of the family passed away in little over a year. The daughter, Miss Lottie was delayed in Ottumwa by the flood, and could not be present at the funeral which was held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from his mother's home, followed by burial in Highland cemetery. J.H. Painter, of Ninth street, an elder of the Christian faith, had charge of the services. Having been born and reared here he had many friends.
