Description	:	Funeral services for Frank Pete Koenig, 82, of Center, were held Monday, Aug. 9, 1993 at 10 a.m. at the Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton. Reverend Olin Belt of Norfolk and Reverends Kenneth and Koni Purscell officiated with burial following in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were James Becker, James Rohrer, Richard McManigal, Bill York, Rex Risinger and Donald Hart. Frank Koenig, the son of Herman and Clara (Mathine) Koenig, was born May 29, 1911 on a farm east of Center and died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1993, at his home in Center. He lived his entire life in the Knox County area. He was married to Mary Von Rentzell on June 26, 1935. Two children were born to this union. He farmed and later operated a repair shop until the time of his death. He also was a school bus driver for many years. His favorite hobby was cutting wood out in the timber. His wife died November 4, 1988. He was a member of United Church of Christ in Center. Survivors include children and spouses, Marlene and Milford Hart of Beemer and Larry and Deanna Koenig of Newman Grove; eleven grandchildren, a brother and spouse, Earl and Eleanor Koenig of Scottsbluff and a brother-in-law, Mike Scheer of Wyoming and several nieces and nephews.
