Prank Prusha was born April 2, 1862 in Czechoslovakia. He came to America with his parents at the age of 14 years, settling on a farm in Tama county. Read More	The Belle Plaine Union, Thursday, February 24th, 1949 page 4 On Friday, February 18 at 8:10 a. m. Frank Prusha, 80, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emil Sikir of Irving. Prank Prusha was born April 2, 1862 in Czechoslovakia. He came to America with his parents at the age of 14 years, settling on a farm in Tama county. In 1881 he was united in marriage to Miss Theresa Stanek. To this union four sons and five daughters were born. Surviving are two sons, Charles and Emil Prusha; five daughters, Mrs. Emil (Anna) Sikir, Irving; Miss Mary Prusha, Vining; Mrs. Charles (Fannie) Kosnar, Chelsea; Mrs. Julia Hlavacek, of Chelsea and Mrs. Louise Bina of Belle Plaine; one brother, James Prusha, Sr., of Tama; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Kucera of Clutier and Mrs. Mike Ledvina of Chelsea. There are eight grandchildren, Mrs. Frank (Edith) Michael of Chelsea, Frank Hlavacek of Belle Plaine, Mrs. Lyle (Lucille) Lekin, Chelsea, Mrs. Edgar (Ruth) Whitsell, Chelsea, Milvoy Kosnar, Chelsea, Mrs. Irene Barron, Keystone, Leon Bina in the U. S. army service, Melvin Bina of South Hampton, New York, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa in 1939 and two sons, Joseph and Fred. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 20 at 2 p. m. at the Hrabak funeral home at Chelsea with Rev. J. W. Kas a officiating Casket bearers were John Koutney, Albert Prusha, William Kucera James Prusha, Jr., Ben Stanek and James Ledvina. Singers were Mrs. Anton Kroulik and Mrs. William A. Stanek, accompanied by Mrs. Charles Veit. The songs "Znam Jedno Mesto," (in Czech), "Asleep in Jesus" and "Rock of Ages" at the cemetery. Interment was in the Stajskal cemetery near Vining.
