Description	:	F Robert "Bob" Clark, 88, Overbrook, died Sunday, Jan 21, 2007, at Brookside Retirement Center in Overbrook. He was born May 5, 1918, at his grandparents home in Overbrook, the son of Arthur and Marcelene Clark. He lived in Overbrook his entire life. He graduated from Overbrook Rural high School in 1936. He served in the Army from 1942-1945 as an Army medic during WWII. He was stationed in Cheyene, Wyoming. He was on the "Old Ironsides Polo Club" team in Topeka. Read More	F Robert "Bob" Clark, 88, Overbrook, died Sunday, Jan 21, 2007, at Brookside Retirement Center in Overbrook. He was born May 5, 1918, at his grandparents home in Overbrook, the son of Arthur and Marcelene Clark. He lived in Overbrook his entire life. He graduated from Overbrook Rural high School in 1936. He served in the Army from 1942-1945 as an Army medic during WWII. He was stationed in Cheyene, Wyoming. He was on the "Old Ironsides Polo Club" team in Topeka. He rode his horse "Rowdy" during many polo matches througout Kansas and surrounding states. After his service he farmed south of Overbrook and was a substitute mai carrier for the Overbrook Post Office. Later he started the first liquid fertilizer business in the area. After selling Clark's Fertilizer Service in 1962, he became the manager of the Overbrook Co-op Fertilizer plant and the editor of the Overbrook Co-op Newsletter. After he retired from the Co-op, he helped Bill Baldwin on his farm. He was on the Board of the Overbrook Clinic and served as the North Osage 4-H Club leader. He was a 60-year member if the Anderson-Ruable Post #239 of the American Legion Post in Overbrook. he was a volunteer for the Osage County hospice and Meals on Wheels. He was a member of the Overbrook Methodist Church and later the Grace community Church. he married Celesta Marjory Thurber Clark on Dec 19, 1942 at the Overbrook Methodist parsonage. They shared 64 years together. He is survived by his wife, Celesta Clark; a son, Randolph R Clark and his wife, Nancy, Salina; two daughters: Melody Susie Parcell and her husband, Kent, Yuma, Arizona; and T Beth Sisson and her husband, Bob, Overbrook; two brothers: William Clark, Lenexa; and James Clark, Winchester, Kan; one sister, Margaret Simmons, Pueblo, Colo.; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Tankersley, Topsham, Maine; Trina Nettleingham, Wichita; Curtis Parcell, Redlands, Calif; Bryan Parcell, Mesa, Ariz; Aaron Parcell, Murieta, Calid; Amy Wilcox, El Cajun, Calif; and Jarod Sisson and Brandi Kuermaier, both of Overbrook; and 18 great-grandchildren. he was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Howard Clark and Winifred Spano; and a great-grandson, nathan Parcell. Services were Friday, Jan 26, at Grace Community Church in Overbrook.Burial was at the Overbrook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Church, Overbrook Library and Anderson-Raible Post #239 of the American Legion, and may be sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P O Box 268, Overbrook, Kan 66524.
