Born Nov. 12,1878, in Monticello, Lovell township, he was the son of John and Mary Jane Miller. He never married. A farmer, he spent his entire life on the farm where he was born until, because of illness, moved to Monticello with his brother. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Monticello. Surviving are one sister, Emma, Mrs. Clyde Thompson, Manchester; three brothers, Ruben A, Shover, Thomas Shover and FredShover, all Monticello. Three brothers preceded him in death. Pallbearers included the nephews of the deceased, John Shover, Myric Shover, Howard Shover, James Shover, LaVern Nagel and J. W. Thompson. -- Courtesy of P2-ABQ
