Description	:	Frank Van Buskirk, 63, died Sunday at the University hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient since July 26. Before going to Iowa City, he was a patient in the Hawarden hospital and the Cherokee hospital. He was born May 28, 1889, in Union county, S.D., but his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs Frank Van Buskirk, resided on a farm four miles west of Craig at that time. Read More	Frank Van Buskirk, 63, died Sunday at the University hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient since July 26. Before going to Iowa City, he was a patient in the Hawarden hospital and the Cherokee hospital. He was born May 28, 1889, in Union county, S.D., but his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs Frank Van Buskirk, resided on a farm four miles west of Craig at that time. He grew up on the farm and married Miss Lottie Allison in Hawarden December 20, 1911. After his marriage he continued to make his home in the same- vicinity until 1939 when he quit farming. He then became employed by the Ira Van Buskirk Sons Construction company. He was married to Mrs. Agnes Sorenson January 30, 1943. He was baptized and confirmed n St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church at Craig. Survivors include the widow; five children, Lester, Seward, Vernon and Mrs. Henry Timmer of Hawarden and Mrs. Jack Adamson of Culver City, Calif.; four brothers, Roy of Sioux City and Ira, Seward and William of Hawarden; two sisters, Mrs-. A. J. Gamble and Mrs. Sid Stewart of Sioux City and 15 grandchildren. Four children preceded him in death, three died in infancy and Mrs. Frances Dowdey March 5, 1948. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran church in Hawarden with Rev. O.F.W. Pittack officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral service. The Independent (Hawarden, Iowa) 9/9/1952
