Read More	FRANK DINNEL PASSED AWAY ON JULY 28TH; WORLD WAR I VETERAN Frank Willis Dinnel, son of Elvira and Milton Dinnel, was born August 6, 1893, north of Wauneta, in Hayes County, Nebraska, and departed this life at the Imperial Community Hospital, Imperial, Nebraska, Saturday, July 28, 1951, after a severe illness, at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 22 days. Frank enlisted in the United States Army of World War I in 1917, serving in the 20th Infantry Co. M, at Fort Douglas, Utah. He was injured in a troop movement during the war and had been in poor health ever since. He received a medical discharge in 1918. Frank lived in Chase County practically all his life. He was a lover of home. Early in life he was a member of the Church of Christ. February 1, 1926, he was married to Minnie Gage, who is left to mourn his loss, along with two stepsons, Lawrence Gage, of San Jose, Calif.; Frank Gage of Prosser, Wash; and five step grandchildren and one step great grandchild; also a brother, Earl Dinnel of Enders; two half-brothers, George Dinnel of Palisade, Raymond Nedrow of Orlando, Fla.; a half-sister, Rose Hixon of Imperial; nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. Besides his parents, seven Dinnel half-brothers preceded him in death. They were Marion, Jim, Tom, Charley, Ira, Arthur and John. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, August 1, at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Imperial. Mrs. Cleo Hixon and Mrs. Helen Ruebesam sang, accompanied by Miss Nina Hallett. Rev. Clifford Maxwell, pastor, gave the sermon. The American Legion, of which the deceased was a member, was in charge of services at the grave. The firing squad included Joe Bopp Jr., Carl Upp, Bud Shaw, Harry Smith, Norman Draper, and Robert Allen with Darl Rose, sergeant. The color guard was M. L. Brethower, C. R. Heebner and S. G. McCulloch; Henry W. Curtis was chaplain; A. L. Smith, funeral commander and Leslie Swanson, post commander. Ed Burke was bugler. The casket bearers were C. C. Colbert, J. P. McLain, C. O. Ryckman, E. H. Johnston, W. I. Grant and L. P. Kramer. Luhrs & Reynolds were in charge.
