(Johnson) Falck the 2nd of four children and died Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Friend at the age of 82 years 5 months and 5 days. (Johnson) Falck the 2nd of four children and died Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Friend at the age of 82 years 5 months and 5 days. As a young boy he attended and graduated from Cordova High School in 1945. After his high school graduation, Franklin began working at the Havelock Shops Rail Yard and later at the Western Electric factory in Lincoln. In September of 1950, he was drafted into the US Army and served through September of 1952. On July 18, 1953, he was united in marriage to Connie Hall in Crete, Nebraska and to this union, a daughter, Kathy, was born. Together they made their home in Friend where Franklin worked for Huston Truck Lines and later purchased the Standard Station which he operated until his retirement in 1991. In his spare time Franklin enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. During his retirement, Franklin enjoyed trips to Colorado to visit with Kathy and her husband, Steve. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 183, both of Friend and the VFW in Crete. Franklin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Connie Falck, Friend, daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Gochnour, Aurora, CO, brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Janice Falck, sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Knud Larsen, all of Lincoln, nephews and nieces and spouses, John and Maggie Falck, Omaha, Anne and Fred Henderson, Ridgecrest, CA, Vali and Gaylord Mussman, Fremont, Kim Larsen, San Francisco, CA, Greg Larsen, Chicago, IL, Marty and Joan Larsen, Charlotte, NC, Bradley Larsen, San Francisco, CA, special friend, Gene Cookus, Hastings and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth.
