Memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the North Shore Assembly of God Church in Hastings, Nebraska, with Pastor Arjay Johnson officiating. Dean Redinger was born November 3, 1938, in Berwyn, Nebraska, the son of Dwight and Lillie Mae (Poor) Redinger. Dean married Betty Fitzke on November 4, 1957, in Fairfield, Nebraska, she passed away January 19, 1998. He married Shirleen Strine on May 1, 1999, in Hastings, Nebraska. Dean served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1964. Following his military service, he opened Redinger Repair in Fairfield, Nebraska. Dean worked at the Fairfield Elevator, Raymond Elevator, Big G Tire Service and Sales, owned his own trucking company, and drove for Pick's Pack Haulers and Hinz Trucking, he retired in 1993. He was a member of North Shore Assembly of God Church, Hastings Area Men of Promise, RV-MAPS (Mission America Placements Services), Fairfield American Legion Club, and was a Mason in Hastings, Nebraska. Dean enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, hunting, anything outdoors, dancing and spending time with family. Dean is survived by his wife Shirleen Redinger of Fairfield, NE; children, William "Bill" (Lee) Redinger of Ogallala, NE, Betty (Rodger) Sauder of Sidney, NE, Penny Redinger of Grand Island, NE. And step children, Kevin Darling, Kelvin Darling both of Grand Island, NE, Korena (Don) Hoshaw of Hastings, NE, Becky Jensen of Fairfield, NE, and Dodi (Gary) Holling of Superior, NE; 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Larry) Mundt of Hershey, NE; brother, Jim (Pat) Redinger of Lincoln, NE; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Redinger; granddaughters, Sheena Redinger and Emma Redinger; great-grandson, Colton Faessler; sisters, Verna Mae Manning and Lois Hall; and brothers, Dwight Redinger and Dick Redinger.
