Description	:	Franklin Earl Willey, son of Gilman D. and Eleanor Wardwell Willey, was born June 18, 188, at Grafton, Nebraska. He passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, February 17, 1967, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 29 days. He received his public school education at Grafton. February 17, 1911, he was married to Nellie Marsh. They lived to share their 56th wedding anniversary, which occurred the day of his death. Read More	Franklin Earl Willey, son of Gilman D. and Eleanor Wardwell Willey, was born June 18, 188, at Grafton, Nebraska. He passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, February 17, 1967, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 29 days. He received his public school education at Grafton. February 17, 1911, he was married to Nellie Marsh. They lived to share their 56th wedding anniversary, which occurred the day of his death. They began housekeeping in Grafton, and cared for Mr. Willey's mother until her death in 1924. To this union three sons were born, Harvey Lee, Dean W. and George Gilman. He farmed until 1935. He was employed at the Fairmont Air Base during its activity and worked for the town of Fairmont. He was a family man and spent most of his time at home. He like to work in the garden and watch it grow. He had many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Nellie; three sons, Harvey Lee and wife Helen of Hastings, and their children Gary Lee of Hastings and Judy of Lincoln; Dean W. and his wife LaVeta of Geneva and their children, Norma Jean of Hastings and Robert of Milford; George Gilman and his wife Mary Ellen of Hastings; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, February 20, at the Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home in Fairmont, Rev. Paul W. Walker officiated. Oliver Moul sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "We are Going Down the Valley," accompanied by Mrs. A. P. Stewart. Casketbearers were Bernard Barnhold, Harold Dawson, Don Galusha, Alfred Jorgensen, Jerry Smith and Russell Snodgrass. Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 2 March 1967
