Sellars, son of James and Elizabeth Sellars, was born September 25, 1874 on his parents homestead near old Ida and passed away at the same place on April 21, 1940, at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 27 days. Except for 11 years which were spent on a farm north of Haddam, Frank lived on the homestead his entire life. He was united in marriage to Myrtle Wilcox of Hubbell on August 10, 1898. Sellars, son of James and Elizabeth Sellars, was born September 25, 1874 on his parents homestead near old Ida and passed away at the same place on April 21, 1940, at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 27 days. Except for 11 years which were spent on a farm north of Haddam, Frank lived on the homestead his entire life. He was united in marriage to Myrtle Wilcox of Hubbell on August 10, 1898. To this union were born two daughters, Gladys Handley of Gurley, Neb., and Twila of the home. Frank was one of eight children, four of whom preceded him in death. Besides his widow, Myrtle and the daughters, he leaves to mourn his passing one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Andrews of McDonald; two brothers, William of Fairbury and David of Ransom; and 11 grandchildren. Few men merit the high esteem in which his neighbors and friends held him; his good nature, kindness, sympathy and sincere faith in mankind were the common virtues which may be summed up in the simple statement: 'Frank was a man'... Funeral services were held Wednesday morning April 24 at 10 a.m. at the Methodist church in Munden conducted by the Rev. F. L. Courter with interment in the Ida cemetery.
