Of, him it may be said that he was so thoroughly a man that he dignified any work that was under his care. His life was even, day by day, the admirable life of a true christian and one who had regard for his fellow man. Frank keister never had a jppnny that he did not earn. He never paid one cent of his expense with cash of doubtful origin. The interests of his employers were his interests. Service to their patrons was his belief. Honesty was his law. Belief and knowledge of right were his religion. He was a laboring man, but no ruler of men ever stood higher in the scale of humanity. His old employers and the city mourn his passing. Keister, well known and respected citizen of Cherokee, died this morning [Aug 3] at 5 o'clock at the home of his son-in-law, Ace Cobb, E. Cedar street, after a long illness. For many years Mr. Keister had been employed as a wagoner by the Weart & Lysaght Lumber company. The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the M. E. church, Rev. McDade in charge. Interment will be made in Oak Hill. Mr. Keister was 70 years of age last November. He is survived by his wife and three daughters Mrs. D. A. Seaman, Mrs. A. C.
