Description	:	Fred Stober, 60, life time resident of near Monterey, passed away at the St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa last Wednesday at the age of 60 years and 23 days. Mr. Stober was well known in this community and highly respected. He was united in marriage to Jessie Rodens Johnson, November 6, 1900, and to this union two children were born, Alfred Wray, who was injured in an automobile accident and passed away as a result on March 27, 1927, and Marcelle at home. Read More	Fred Stober, 60, life time resident of near Monterey, passed away at the St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa last Wednesday at the age of 60 years and 23 days. Mr. Stober was well known in this community and highly respected. He was united in marriage to Jessie Rodens Johnson, November 6, 1900, and to this union two children were born, Alfred Wray, who was injured in an automobile accident and passed away as a result on March 27, 1927, and Marcelle at home. Mr. Stober had been in poor health since the death of his son, Alfred. Surviving are his devoted wife, a son Marcelle, three grandchildren, four brothers, Frank E., of near Moulton, Otis W., of Oskaloosa, and Pearl and Earl, of near Monterey. Also one sister, Maude J. Killion, of near Moulton, besides other relatives and numerous friends. Mr. Stober was devoted to his family and active in the affairs of the community. He had been engaged in farming and stock raising at his farm for many years. He accepted Christ in early manhood at the Christian church in Monterey and led a consistent Christian life. Funeral services were held in Bloomfield, Friday, conducted by Lester E. Burgher. Burial was at Burgher cemetery, southeast of Moulton. Moulton Weekly Tribune--=October 26, 1939
