Description	:	Fred D. Kapperman, Sr. was born in Ordinnausen, Germany, on July 23, 1870. He was the son of Henry Kapperman and his wife Margaret Niemeier. The deceased was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran Church in Germany and later confirmed at the age of 13 years. The following year he came to America and resided near Deshler, Nebr. He was united in marriage to Lizzie Graue near Lincoln, Nebr., and in 1904 they made their home on a farm in Kansas, three miles south of Chester. Their union was blessed with four children, two sons and... Read More	Fred D. Kapperman, Sr. was born in Ordinnausen, Germany, on July 23, 1870. He was the son of Henry Kapperman and his wife Margaret Niemeier. The deceased was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran Church in Germany and later confirmed at the age of 13 years. The following year he came to America and resided near Deshler, Nebr. He was united in marriage to Lizzie Graue near Lincoln, Nebr., and in 1904 they made their home on a farm in Kansas, three miles south of Chester. Their union was blessed with four children, two sons and two daughters. In the fall of 1945, Mr. and Mrs. Kapperman moved to Chester where the deceased lived until the time of his death. He died November 20, 1947 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 27 days. Death was due to a cerebal (sic) hemorrhage. He was a devoted husband and loving father and an active and faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Chester, which church he helped built in 1911. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Kapperman, two sons, Henry Kapperman of Chester and Fred Kapperman of Belleville, Kans., two daughters, Mrs. Ida Vorderstrasse of Lebanon, Oregon and Mrs. Lydia Heitkotter of Chester. Eleven grandchildren, two brothers, one sister, neices (sic), nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church, Chester, with E.B. Hilst officiating.
