Husband of Louisa Additional information submitted by Contributor: thecat (48605570) Fred Lamb (35768473) Suggested edit: Newspapers.com The Courier (Waterloo, Iowa) 5 Feb 1915, Fri Page 12, col. 5-6 Obituary: Frederick Lamb was born in the year 1833 at Pittsburgh, Pa., and died Jan. 29, 1915, at St. Paul, aged 82. As a young man the deceased went westward with the tide of civilization, settling in Kansas. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having enlisted in the Eleventh Kansas calvery. He was married to Louisa Russett at Forest City, Kan., Feb. 25, 1870. To this union were born nine children, as follows: Frank Lamb, who lives at home; Mrs. Lottie Murray of Tripoli; Bert Lamb of Staples, Minn, George Lamb of St. Paul, Minn.; George Lamb of St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Jennie Pfiester of St. Paul, Minn.; Eugene Lamb of Independence, Ia.; Mrs. Lulu Larshnam of Waterloo, and Marwin Lamb in the United States navy. Besides the children, his widow and twenty-three grandchildren survive him, one son having preceded his father in death. The deceased came with his wife and settled in Tripoli in 1872, where he had since resided and where his family have all been reared to manhood and womanhood. As a boy in Pennsylvania, he was reared in the Lutheran faith. The funeral services were held Sunday at the First Congregational church in Tripoli,k Rev. McNary officiating. Interment took place at Fremont cemetery under the auspices of the local G.A.R. Contributor: thecat (48605570)
