Description	:	Funeral services for Fred H. Bohren, 86, of Creighton were held Monday, October 28, 1996 at Christ Lutheran Church in Creighton. Reverend Terrell Huber officiated with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rick Goertzen, Scott Rich, Gregg Bohren, Tony Bohren, Rico Bohren and Tim Marshall. Honorary pallbearers were Gus Hinzmann, Marvin Krugman, Art Hrbek, Ed Boggs, Kevin Boggs, Philip Boggs and Melvin Schellen. Fred H. Bohren was born May 3, 1910 at Center to Fred and Louise (Beckman) Bohren. He was baptized at Christ Lutheran Church of Bazile Mills and confirmed there December 4, 1927. He attended school at Center and graduated from Creighton High School in 1926. He farmed with his father and also was employed as a road overseer in Spade Township in Knox county for six years, doing road repair with horses. He married Bertha M. Kumm February 19, 1939 at Christ Lutheran Church. Three children were born to them, Delmar, Dennis and Shirley. The couple lived on farms near Winnetoon for 54 years before moving to Creighton in 1992. Fred was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Bazile Mills, where he served on the church council and in several other church offices for many years. He served for several years on the township agricultural committee. Survivors include his wife, Bertha; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Janette of Phoenix, AZ and daughter-in-law, Janet Bohren of Hutchinson, KS; six grandchildren; sisters, Eda Johnson of Plainview and Mrs. Dale (Clara) Johnson of Brunswick.
