Description	:	Stratford Courier April 28, 1927 OBITUARY Fred Longhenry Fred Longhenry was born July 9, 1861 in the state of Ohio, and died at Stratford, April 19, 1927, at the age of 65 years, 9 months, 10 days. Death took place at the Edgar Crim home, southeast of Stratford. While preparing to return to the house from the field where he had been working, deceased had a stroke of apoplexy and he never regained consciousness. Read More	Stratford Courier April 28, 1927 OBITUARY Fred Longhenry Fred Longhenry was born July 9, 1861 in the state of Ohio, and died at Stratford, April 19, 1927, at the age of 65 years, 9 months, 10 days. Death took place at the Edgar Crim home, southeast of Stratford. While preparing to return to the house from the field where he had been working, deceased had a stroke of apoplexy and he never regained consciousness. For a number of years he had made his home with his nephews, G.W. Longhenry, and had also spent a part of the time with another nephew, John Longhenry. During the winters he lived in town with the G.M. Longhenry family and during the summers took such jobs on farms as his health and strength would permit and it was while he was working for Edgar Crim that he was stricken. He was well known to the most of the people of this community and everyone held him in the very highest respect for he was a kindly man and of a sunny and very likable disposition. He leaves to mourn his passing a son, who lives in Chicago; three half brothers, Lew, of Beresford, S.D.; John and Chris Schmidt, of Fairmont, Minn.; two half sisters, Louis Peters, of Story City and Mrs. John Hastedt, of Kansas, his two nephews, G.M. and John Longhenry of this place, a number of other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wm. Bottom from the Miller Undertaking parlor and interment took place in the Mineral Ridge cemetery.
