Read More	Fred was the son of C L Morgan and Victoria Hardenbrook. He married Marguerite Smittle on 8 June 1906 in Grand Junction, Greene, Iowa. They were the parents of Truman, Berdine, and Marilyn. Jefferson Herald - Thursday, February 9, 1933 - Fred Morgan, son of C. L. and Victoria Morgan, was born March 4th, 1879 at the farm home two miles south of Beaver, Iowa. He passed away at Grand Junction Iowa, January 29, 1933, at the age of fifty-three years and eleven months, At the age of nine years he moved to Grand Junction with his mother and family, and has spent his entire life in this vicinity. Mr. Morgan entered into the hardware business in Grand Junction in April, 1904, where he had continued that business for twenty-eight years. June 3, 1906, he was united in marriage with Marguerite Smittle and to this union were born three children: a son, Truman, and two daughters, Berdene and Maralyn. He is survived by his widow and three children and three brothers and three sisters, Cornelias Morgan of Baird, California; Mrs. Jesse Waxman of Spokane, Washington; Mrs. Dora Cole of Spokane, Washington; Mrs. Mildred Jacobson of Jeffers, Minnesota; Mrs. Edna Morey, Grand Junction, Iowa; Gilbert Morgan of Atkinson, Nebraska, and George Morgan of Britt. He was especially devoted to his family and a great friend of all children. Through many years of business associations he has endeared himself to a host of friends. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, February 2, at two-thirty from the Methodist Episcopal church, with the pastor. Rev. A.T. Bishop, officiating. Musical numbers were furnished by Miss Dora Gladson, singing "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and "The Old Rugged Cross," Miss Bertha Zellhoefer at the piano. Casket bearers were Filfred Vipond, Allen B. Hillman, Glenn Caswell, Frank Wirtjes, Will D. Morey and Clark Ferguson. Honorary casket bearers were Keith Young, Carl Blaylock, Floyd Thornton, Winston Young, Elmer Springer and Marshall Groves. Interment took place in the Grand Junction cemetery in the family lot beside his mother and father.
