Description	:	Freda Faye Siems, 85 years of age, of Beatrice died at Belle Terrace in Tecumseh on Sunday, August 20, 2006. She was born on September 25, 1920 at rural DeWitt, was baptized on April 24, 1927 at the DeWitt United Methodist Church and became a member of the United Methodist Church in 1941. She graduated from DeWitt High School and attended Peru State College for one semester. Read More	Freda Faye Siems, 85 years of age, of Beatrice died at Belle Terrace in Tecumseh on Sunday, August 20, 2006. She was born on September 25, 1920 at rural DeWitt, was baptized on April 24, 1927 at the DeWitt United Methodist Church and became a member of the United Methodist Church in 1941. She graduated from DeWitt High School and attended Peru State College for one semester. She taught rural school from 1937 until 1945 when she moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked as an inspector on the Boeing B-29 airplanes. She married Ralph Wusk on December 29, 1945 and they lived and farmed in the Sterling area for many years. She also worked for six years at the grocery store in Sterling. Ralph died on July 18, 1981. On June 9, 1991, she married Arthur Siems and they lived in Beatrice. Art died July 28, 2002. She was a 4-H leader in DeWitt, was a member of the Silver Ridge Extension Club and American Legion Auxiliary Post #140 where she had served as the president and secretary for District 13 both of Sterling, was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post #8221 of Tecumseh and the Thrifty Workers Extension Club of Beatrice. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Sterling where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Women of ELCA and had served as president and had served on the Centennial Committee of the church. Survivors include one daughter, Marjean Zumbahlen and husband David of Bird City, Kansas. Three sons, Daryl Wusk and wife Joyce of Wilber, Arlo Wusk and wife Barbara and Everette Wusk and wife Peggy all of Sterling. 11 grandchildren. 11 great-grandchildren. One step-son, Wallace Siems and wife Barbara of Beatrice. One step-daughter, RoJean Clifton and husband Ben of Lincoln, Nebraska. Two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. One sister, Marjorie Wiese of Eugene, Oregon. Three brothers, Everett Buss and wife Bertha of DeWitt, Ralph Buss and wife Donna of Beatrice and Allen Buss and wife Marilyn of Blue Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents Iral and Jessie Fort Buss, her first husband Ralph, her second husband Arthur, a granddaughter Jordan Wusk and a grandson Jonathan Wusk Funeral services will be held at Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the St. John Lutheran Church of Sterling, Nebraska with Pastor Doyle Karst officiating. Burial will be in the Sterling Cemetery of Sterling, Nebraska. A family prayer service will be held at 1:45 P.M. Tuesday in the fellowship room of the church. The body will lie in state until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday morning at the Zink-Fox Funeral Home and then one hour preceding the service at the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the Erma and Shannon Hazen in charge. A guestbook for signatures and messages of condolence is also available online at www.foxfuneralhome.net. Zink-Fox Funeral Home of Sterling, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
