Born In Browns Valley, Minn., a daughter of Fred and Nancy Kreager, she moved to Baker with her parents as a child. She attended schools and graduated from high school in Baker. On June 25, 1924, she married Robert L. Fields in Baker. They lived in Baker for a number of years before moving to Miles City. Mr. Fields died in 1965. She spent the last four and a half years in Yakima, Washington, before recently returning to Baker. She had lived in the Fallon Memorial Nursing Home until the time of her death. Survivors include two sons, George of Mesa, AR., and Robert of Ventura, CA., three daughters, Violet Deaver of Great Falls, MT., Virginia Issal of Yakima, WA., and Beverly Halfacre of Ninanga, MS., a brother, Rieley Kreager of Rapid City, S.D., 15 grand children and seven great - grand children. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home with burial in the Custer County Cemetery.
