Violet was born Aug. 7, 1926, to Robert and Fredia Fields in Thurlow, MT., She was raised and educated in Miles City, MT., and worked for various restaurants in Miles City, as well as in Great Falls, MT. It was in Great Falls that she began working for 1st. National Bank and later retired. Violet thoroughly loved cooking, taught many people her cooking skills and never let anybody go away hungry. She was an avid fan of the Great Falls Voyagers, and enjoyed playing pool, playing in different pool leagues. She also was a member and one time president of the eagles Lodge Auxilliary. She is survived by her brother, George (Ruby) Fields of Renton, WA., extended family Roba and Stuart Strandell of Great Falls, MT., Jennifer Smith of Waxahachie, TX., Stuart Strandell of Great Falls, MT., David (Dominique) Strandell of California, MD., and Abigail Strandell of Great Falls, MT. Violet was preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, William P. Deaver, in October 1999; her parents; brothers Robert Fields Jr. and Paul Fields; and sister Virginia Issel and Beverly (Erickson) Hafacre.
