She was baptized and confirmed in Our Savior's Lutheran church and was a member of the Kountze Memorial Lutheran church in Omaha, Neb., at the time of her death. Read More	Mrs. Freda Devereux, nee Freda Wilhelmina Anderson was born at Albert City Jan. 12, 1902 to Gust F. and Malkina Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed in Our Savior's Lutheran church and was a member of the Kountze Memorial Lutheran church in Omaha, Neb., at the time of her death. She was taken to the Municipal hospital in Spencer where she died on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the age of 70 years, seven months and four days. Freda received her education in the Albert City school and graduated from Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Des Moines in 1926. She was devoted to this profession and spent her entire lifetime working in hospitals and doctors' offices in Des Moines and Omaha. When the need arose she never hesitated to give her service of love to family and friends. She was true to her faith in God and dedicated herself to helping others whenever the opportunity presented itself. She was united in marriage to Harry Devereux on Aug. 31, 1935. He preceded her in death in August of 1945. The past years Freda made her home in Omaha and Albert City. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Linnea. She leaves to mourn her passing, her step-son, Harry Devereux Jr. and wife, Rosemary, Morristown, N. J.; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Ralph Carlson of Albert City; two brothers and sisters-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Anderson of Laurens and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson of Spencer; one brother-in-law, Herbert Hansen of Albert City; two nieces, Mrs. John Oatman Jr. of Storm Lake and Mrs. Harlan Gutz of Grinnell and one nephew, Norman Hansen of Kimball, Minn.; and a host of relatives and friends.
