Description	:	The Dixon Journal, Thursday, January 28, 1937: Frederich Bose was born at Brandenburg, Germany, Dec. 30, 1836 and passed away at the home of his son, Fred, southeast of Dixon, Tuesday morning, January 26, 1937, at the age of 100 years and 26 days. Mr. Bose was married in the '60's to Carolina Bock. In 1865 he and his wife and three children accompanied by a sister and her family came to America, crossing the Atlantic in a sailing ship. Read More	The Dixon Journal, Thursday, January 28, 1937: Frederich Bose was born at Brandenburg, Germany, Dec. 30, 1836 and passed away at the home of his son, Fred, southeast of Dixon, Tuesday morning, January 26, 1937, at the age of 100 years and 26 days. Mr. Bose was married in the '60's to Carolina Bock. In 1865 he and his wife and three children accompanied by a sister and her family came to America, crossing the Atlantic in a sailing ship. The family first located at Cincinnati, Ohio later moving to Omaha. After a number of years stay they took a homestead near Wahoo, where they lived till 1891 when they moved to Concord. His wife died in 1902 and he made two trips to Germany later, returning to America in 1926. He was the father of six children, only two of whom survive: Mrs. C. F. Knutzen, of Brunning and Fred Bose of Concord. He also leaves to mourn, 1 grandson, 1 great grand daughter, 1 great grandson and many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the St. Paul's Lutheran church this (Thursday) afternoon with the pastor, rev. G. T. Kern in charge. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
